Meet Dr. Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick Orthodontics

Dr. Donald Fitzpatrick was born and raised right here in St. John and graduated from St. John High School in 1967. “I wore braces as a teen and always wanted to be in the medical profession, but I could not see myself as a doctor,” he admitted. “So I chose dentistry.”

College Credentials

After high school, Dr. Fitzpatrick graduated from the University of New Brunswick and Dalhousie University in Halifax with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1974. He went on to work in St. John for a year, returning to the University of Western Ontario for a Master of Clinical Dentistry degree in 1977. Since then, he has practiced in St. John, Quispamsis and St. Stephen.

Charity Work and Family Life

Dr. Fitzpatrick is proud to be in his eighth year of supporting the Kiwanis Club Dental Program, which provides corrective dental surgery, when possible, to those who cannot afford it. He is married with one son and two step-daughters, enjoys traveling and has a keen interest in both real and model trains.
